For nearly two decades, GLIF operated as an international consortium to promote the paradigm of lambda networking. GLIF provided lambdas internationally with an integrated facility to support data-intensive scientific research, and middleware development for lambda networking. GLIF participants included some of the world’s premier networking engineers from National Research and Education Networks, consortia and institutions working with lambdas across the globe.
